ISCC Certificering - Scope Trader (with storage)
ISCC EU Trader (with storage)
A Trader (with storage) within the ISCC EU certification scheme is a certified entity that is engaged in the trade of sustainable commodities and products, such as biomass, biofuels or other renewable materials, and has storage facilities to hold these products. These traders play an important role in the supply chain, forming the link between producers, processors and end users.
To be certified according to the ISCC EU standards, a trader (with storage) must meet strict sustainability criteria. These include requirements regarding product traceability, which allows the origin and sustainability of the goods to be verified throughout the chain. The ISCC certificate guarantees that the purchased, stored and traded products meet international standards for sustainability and greenhouse gas reduction.
In addition, the trader must implement a mass balance system, similar to other actors in the chain, to ensure that the amount of sustainable products traded matches the amount stored and delivered. Regular audits by independent bodies ensure that traders can demonstrate their compliance with these requirements.
The storage facilities themselves must also meet specific requirements. This includes the proper management and registration of sustainable and non-sustainable products, without mixing them. Furthermore, it is essential that the trader with storage minimizes the greenhouse gas emissions associated with transport and storage, thus contributing to the ISCC greenhouse gas reduction targets.
